Veterinary Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Emergency Service
The Veterinary Intensive Care and Emergency Service provides specialist care to patients requiring rapid intervention or those in a critical condition requiring continuous intensive management.
24-hour Veterinary Emergency Service
The service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with a team of veterinarians with extensive experience in emergency medicine and intensive care, who work in coordination with other clinical services and with the support of veterinary support staff trained specifically in the management of critical patients.
Our hospitalization area is designed to provide a safe, hygienic environment adapted to individual patient needs. We have separate wards which allows us to reduce stress and maintain high standard of biosecurity.
From admission to recovery, we are committed to delivering rigorous, humane and high-quality care. We maintain fluid communication with owners and allow patient visits by appointment.
As a university hospital, we have an active educational role welcoming students from home and international students undertaking clinical training. We also work with external veterinary practices, accepting referred cases requiring emergency care or intensive management. The aim is always to offer the best prognosis to the patient and clinical support to the referring veterinarian.
