We have a highly qualified team of veterinary ophthalmologists and advanced technical equipment, allowing us to treat common ocular conditions and complex eye disorders. Our service covers the full range of ophthalmic care, from specialized consultations to advanced surgical procedures.
Specialized services
Specialized ophthalmological consultation
Our consultation room is equipped with state-of-the-art technology for a comprehensive assessment of ocular health:
Slit lamp biomicroscopy: detailed evaluation of the anterior segment (front) of the eye.
Direct and indirect ophthalmoscopy: allows examination of the fundus (back) of the eye.
Tonometry: measurement of intraocular pressure for diagnosis and control of glaucoma.
Gonioscopy: study of the iridocorneal angle.
Ocular ultrasound: useful in cases where opacities prevent direct visualization.
Cytology and biopsies: for the analysis of corneal, conjunctival or tumorous lesions.
Electroretinography: functional evaluation of the retina in diseases affecting the posterior segment.
Specialized eye surgery
We have an ophthalmological operating theatre equipped with a surgical microscope and advanced anaesthetic monitoring, where we perform microsurgical procedures, including:
Eyelid surgery: treatment of entropion, ectropion, distichiasis, tumours or eyelid agenesis.
Orbital surgery: enucleation, evisceration and placement of ocular prostheses.
Conjunctival and third eyelid surgery: treatment of prolapse of the third eyelid gland (“cherry eye”) and cartilaginous eversion.
Corneal surgery: conjunctival flaps, repair of lacerations, transpositions, and treatment for iris prolapse or deep ulcers of the cornea.
Intraocular surgery: correction of anterior lens luxation, among others.
