Our Patients
At CEU UCH’s veterinary hospital in Valencia, the Hospital Clínico Veterinario (HCV), we take on a wide range of patients and cases, while always maintaining a specialized, training-focused and collaborative approach.
As a university hospital and referral centre, we work closely with veterinary clinics, animal welfare organizations and public bodies, while also providing care to private owners’ animals when required.
Patients from animal welfare organizations and shelters
We collaborate with animal welfare organizations and public bodies to provide veterinary care for rescued, abandoned or vulnerable animals, as part of our commitment to social responsibility.
Patients referred by veterinarians
We work closely with external veterinary clinics that refer cases for advanced diagnostic tests, specialized treatments, or surgical procedures. This relationship of trust is key to providing the highest standard of care.
Private clients
We also provide a service to private owners who come to the hospital on their own initiative or on the recommendation of their usual veterinarian. In these cases, it is essential to contact us beforehand to arrange an appointment and ensure assessment by the most appropriate professional.
Advice before coming to the hospital
If you are visiting the hospital with your pet for the first time, please bear in mind the following recommendations:
Records
Bring your ID, your pet’s health record and, if applicable, previous clinical reports (tests, x-rays, treatments, etc.)
Fasting
Make sure your pet has fasted: 12 hours without solid food and 2 hours without liquids, unless otherwise instructed.
Restraint
Please arrive with your pet properly restrained (lead, harness or carrier)
Teaching hospital
We are a university teaching hospital, so appointments take place with the participation of students under supervision. This may extend the usual consultation time.
